Alfred Frederic KIDD
We were on January 13, 1901.
After a restless night, the English steamer "Kaïssari", bound for Mauritius (Port Louis) arrived at the North Point of the Cascades between Sainte Rose and Saint Philippe.
Due to bad weather, due to the cyclone, the steamer's rudder was broken, causing the boat to drift, before crashing violently on the coast of the island.
