La Confrérie des Gens de la Mer
Created in 1996 by Eric VENNER DE BERNARDY DE SIGOYER, the Confrérie des Gens de la Mer is an association governed by the 1901 law, with the aim of contributing to the revaluation of the maritime heritage of Reunion Island.
The association follows two lines of work:
- Iown researchsay, whether at the Departmental Archives of Reunion, in different museums or during scuba diving around the island.
- information and awareness of Reunionese public to this heritage, through declarations of wrecks to maritime affairs, daily articlesnals, publications, filmed documents, exhibitions...
